This CIMT thickness is compared to thousands of individuals of the same age and sex to find your CIMT percentile. The 50 year old women with a CIMT of 0.790 mm is at the 84th percentile of 50 year old women. 84% of 50 year old women have a CIMT that is better, and 16% are worse. In fact her CIMT is equal to that of the average 72 year old.
